August: A month filled with surprises!

Last month we told y’all to buckle up and we weren’t kidding! August was filled with anticipation, excitement, big announcements and fun celebrations! Having you join in on the fun was the best part of all and none of it would have been possible without you. We kicked off the month with the launch of our brand-new, mid-size, Mama Mitchell’s Pound Cake (better known as our MIDI) and we were overjoyed by your response and support!

We are thrilled to now offer one-rate shipping for our new MIDI Mama Mitchell’s Pound Cake and love having this as an option for our customers. No matter where our little mid-size might travel across the country, it is one flat rate for all of you!
Earlier in the month, we were humbled for the incredible opportunity to be chosen as a vendor for the Phoenix Business Journal’s, Top 40 under 40 event and had so much fun delivering 40 of our brand-new, mid-size Mama Mitchell’s Pound Cakes to the winners. Celebrating these entrepreneurs was incredibly inspiring!

On August 19th, we packed our bags and headed to Charleston, SC to celebrate what would have been Mama Mitchell’s 98th birthday on August 20th. We knew we wanted to do something to honor her and thought, what better way than to involve each of you in a fun birthday giveaway. We paired up with two of our favorites, The Collar Find & Estelle Colored Glass for one sweet birthday surprise! Congrats to our winner, Holly in Hartsville, SC for winning her very own Original Mama Mitchell’s Pound Cake and a gorgeous, cobalt blue Estelle Colored Glass cake stand!

On August 30th, we shipped out our very first batch of 20 MIDI Mama Mitchell’s Pound Cakes and could not contain our excitement when driving to our local FedEx to ship them out across the country! They arrived just in time for Labor Day weekend, and seeing your creations, toppings and pairings with our newest product was quite literally the icing on the cake! Fall is here and Mama Mitchell's Pound Cake is the ultimate treat for cool autumn mornings, watching the big game and tailgating with your buddies! With endless ways to enjoy our treasured family recipe, it's a go-to crowd pleaser and the perfect addition for your upcoming holiday gatherings!

You continue to fill my heart with an unexplainable joy that will never be able to be put into words. This dream is coming to life and is now a reality each and every day because of you.
