Easter Memories with Mama Mitchell's

“Did he come? Did he come?” I remember saying this every Easter morning, sitting at the top of our stairs, squished somewhere in between my brother and sister with our pj’s on, sleepy eyes and uncombed hair. Did the Easter bunny remember to stop by our house? As we made our way down the stairs, Mom and Dad would be there ready to open the door where our 3 little baskets were waiting on the fireplace.

Easter morning church service was always a tradition and never forgetting the reason for this special day was most important. When I was little, Mama Mitchell would sew by hand my beautiful pastel Easter dresses and stop by to see what the Easter bunny had put in our baskets. Easter lunch would often include a big pot roast, ham, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes and gravy and all the must-have southern sides that my Mom would prepare.

Mama Mitchell’s Pound Cake was always a staple. It seemed to always be on the counter and most certainly at the table for special occasions. As you start to plan for your special Easter breakfast, brunch or dinner we hope you will let us do the baking for you! Spend more time enjoying those around your table, making memories and good conversation.

Surprise your guests with their very own slice of Mama Mitchell’s Pound Cake and know that it is a dream come true sharing part of our family with yours. So, join us and let’s make memories together this Easter Sunday! Easter order deadline is April 12th!

With love,

Ali
